Dance in a Square. Make a Circle of Friends.
a dance anyone can join
Square dancing is a social dance where dancers form a square and follow a series of movements guided by a caller.
The caller tells dancers what to do, so you do not have to memorize an entire routine before you begin.
It is easy to learn, social, active, and suitable for people of different ages and experience levels.
Never square danced before?
That's exactly what our beginner lessons are for.

more than just a dance
Come as you are and enjoy an activity that brings people together. You do not need previous dance experience—the caller guides you through the moves, one step at a time.
Square dancing is social by nature. You dance together, laugh together, and meet new people. It is a fun way to stay active, keep your mind engaged, and connect with your community.
And It Helps You...
Reduce Stress
Boost Brain Function
Keep You Fit
Square dancing is more than learning steps. It is a social, active way to meet people, enjoy great music, and make new friends.
And square dancing has a special place in Utah:
it is Utah's official state folk dance.
MEET OUR CALLER
Our caller, Ken “Lucky” Packer, helps make every dance an enjoyable experience — guiding dancers through the calls, keeping everyone moving, and bringing the fun to the floor.
Whether you are brand new to square dancing or have been dancing for years, the caller is there to guide you through the dance.
LEARN TO SQUARE DANCE
Let's get you started! Square dancing is more than learning the steps. It is a chance to get out, meet good people, enjoy great music, and have fun together.
Let us show you how much fun square dancing can be.
You don't need a partner or any previous dance experience. Our beginner lessons are friendly, relaxed, and guided step-by-step by our caller. Each class builds on the previous class so try to commit to coming for at least a few months to learn the first 50 calls and variations. There are more levels to learn after that!
The first three lessons are free for new dancers in September.
After that it's only $5 a class.

testimonials

”We tried several different kinds of dance lessons the first few years that we were married and gave up because we didn’t find anything that we both liked. Fast forward 30 years, to our church square dance activity and my husband loved it! We found square dance lessons and have gone to all the different clubs that we could find within an hours drive of our house. Singles and Pairs has the biggest crowd with the best caller out of all of them. It is so fun to have something that we both love to do together!”
- Tahna Lee

"Square Dancing was not on my radar at all. After repeated invites from a neighbor I finally relented and went one time just so I could say I had tried. Turns out my wife and I both really liked it. The people are great, it was easy to learn, and it was all around a lot of fun. That was 4 years ago and we dance just about every week."
-Tom Patterson

"Square dancing is fun for all ages, single or married. My husband and I met while Square Dancing and we have been married 26 years.”
